Yesterday was my last day at the store. Today is the first day of what comes next. I decided to start this new chapter with something I hadn't done in a while - a run. Operating a running store gives you little time for things like...running. Now maybe in my next endeavor I will have to work/life balance thing down. I didn't while I was at the store.
I went to the doctor for a check up, and I am back to the weight I was when I had my heart attack. Priority ONE for this break from work is to get the health back to where I want it to be. I want to create the habits, so when I do go back to work, they will be firmly in place, and I can continue.
In essence, I now have time to run. I headed out on the Blackstone Path for a 1.45 mile run. Time didn't matter to me, as much as the run itself. It was a great Spring day, and a lot of runners were out taking advantage of a sunny New England day. I had a blast out there.
Now that I have more time, I will be able to share my thoughts and runs more. I want to share the runs, races, etc.
Here are the races I have planned:
Newport 10 Miler - June
London Royal Oaks Foundation Half Marathon - October
Philadelphia Marathon - November
I plan on taking you all with me every step of the way.
Now I'm going to enjoy the rest of this day.
